Review | The Parcel Summer Edit 2016

Let’s talk about The Parcel - Summer Edit 2016 - which was delivered this morning. I have been waiting patiently for this box to arrive since receiving the Spring Edit. And this edition didn’t let me down. You can read my review of the Spring Edit here.

The quality of this box was just as great as the last one, packed full with great sized items that I can’t wait to try. I have been lucky enough that most products suit my skin tone and skin tone in both boxes so far. Fingers crossed for the next one.

So let’s look at the contents of this Edit.

Nude By Nature Sheer Glow BB Cream 15ml RRP $29.95 for 30ml

After receiving the Nude By Nature foundation powder in the last box, I have been eyeing up this BB cream at Priceline. I’m glad I didn’t buy it as this size is just perfect to get a feel for the product. This shade matches my skin perfectly! This product has light coverage of red areas on the face, but still light enough to be a great sheer base to wear during summer. I have read about a few people experiencing breakouts from this BB cream so I will have to see how I go.

Moroccanoil Treatment 10ml RRP $59.95 for 100ml

I have tried this product many times before. I was first introduced to Moroccanoil when my hairdresser dyed my hair blonde. I had great results and it helped to maintain my wavy hair instead of turning it into a frizzy mess. Although I don’t use Moroccanoil frequently now I still like to keep some on hand so I was pleased to see this included in the Summer Edit. Oh and also the bottle is the perfect travel size!

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturiser Light-Medium 221ml RRP $10.99

I am yet to try this brand, but I love a gradual tanner. I look for a product that will provide a flawless and streak-free look so fingers cross this product works how it is described.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads 5 Pads RRP $29.95 for 60 Pads

I received a pack of 5 of these pads in the Priceline Skincare goody bag earlier this year and I love them. I recently used the last pad so I was excited to see this included in the box. This will be a product I will purchase once this pack runs out.

Avene Micellar Lotion 200ml RRP $30.95

I have only recently started using micellar water as I received a sample in a subscription box. I find them great for getting lipstick and matte lip glosses off my lips and removing eye makeup, but my skin can sometimes react to it. This product is more pricey than the micellar water I am currently using and has a strong scent, but I will try it and see how it goes.
Banana Boat New SunComfort SPF50+ 59ml RRP $16.99 for 175ml

Living in Australia and sunscreen goes hand in hand. I am always buying some sort of sunscreen product and having a small travel size product will be handy for traveling. There was a different brand of sunscreen included in the last parcel so I can’t wait to see what the difference is between both.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Oil Body Lotion 50ml RRP $7.39 for 250ml

Great travel sized pack, as I am always looking for products to fill my travel amenities bag with. I have tried this product before and will most definitely use it.

Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask 10ml Sachet RRP $19.99 for 70g

Face masks are my favourite part of the skin care routine so I can’t wait to try this one. I also love manuka honey. This mark offers to detoxify and purify so we will see what the results look like.

Schick Hydro Silk Razor x 1 RRP $14.95

This is the only product in the box that I won’t use as I do waxing instead of shaving. But I will pass this along to my mother to use.

Klorane Conditioner with Quinine and B Vitamins 150ml RRP $13.95

I have noticed this brand a few times at Priceline but I tend to stick to what I know when it comes to hair care products. My current conditioner is running low so I might use this one until my new bottle arrives.

So overall I really enjoyed this box! There is only one product I won't be using but for $25 I think the overall value of the box was a lot more. Now it is time to patiently wait for the Autumn Edit 2017.
