Review | The Parcel Spring Edit 2016

Today I received the latest box and my first box from The Parcel. If you haven’t heard about this subscription box yet, you are in for a treat! The Parcel is a seasonal box delivered every 3 months with a range of beauty products for $25 per box.

When I picked up the box from my front door, my first thought was how heavy the box was. I couldn’t wait to open it and see what was inside!

Once I opened The Parcel I quickly realised how many full products/sample products were included and I’m not talking about the tiny sachet size samples, more like travel size samples. I find this size to be perfect as you have enough of the product to find out if it is suitable and you enjoy using the product and don't end up with ¾ of the product left.

Essano Argan Oil of Morocco Duo Pack 2x 50ml Pack RRP $15.99

I am currently using this shampoo and conditioner and loving. The bottles are a perfect size for travel too. The card says this product is great for dry and damaged hair. The set includes a deep cleansing shampoo and nourishing conditioner. Essano hair care products are sulphate free and great for colour treated hair. I am currently using the Essano Rosehip face wipes which I love so this brand has become a favourite of mine.

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Eau De Toilette 4ml RRP $125 for 50ml

Included in the box was this beautiful perfume. I hadn’t come across this brand before, so it was a nice change. I will use this sample as my work day perfume for during the week. I dabbed a bit on my wrist and the scent seems fresh and inviting. The card states this fragrance has floral, amber and musk tones which I can smell.

Sunsense Sensitive Invisible SPF 50+ 10g RRP $10.95 for 75g

I love travel size products as they fit in my handbag so well. This product is a great size, but doesn’t have are re-seal feature for the container, meaning you would have to use it all at once or transfer to another container. This product has been scientifically created for sensitive skin. I am currently using the Mecca sunscreen, so I can’t wait to try this brand of sunscreen to see if I can notice a difference.

MOR Mon Amie Adele Luminous Body Milk

I really adore MOR products as I have received a few in gift packs over the years. This body milk has a slight shimmer to it, but has a great scent that could be used as a perfume.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask 5ml RRP $44.95 for 75ml

So this is the only sachet in the box which is good compared to most subscription boxes I have tried. I love The Body Shop and use a few of their products so it will be interesting to see how this mask works. I have oily skin so I usually have great success with purifying masks. The card says this mud textured mask works to cleanse and detoxify the skin by containing Himalayan charcoal and green tea leaves.

St Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse 50ml RRP $59.95 for 240ml and Applicator Mitt RRP $11.49

I have never used this brand of self tanner before. Being a big fan of gradual tanners as you can control the colour outcome, I have always feared that my self tan will turn out too orange and I will have to go to work looking like that. Apparently the new formula should make this easy to apply and offer a streak-free finish while offering a nice, fresh fragrance scent. The tan is recommended to last for up to 10 days and is quick drying.

Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover 2g RRP $39.95 for 15g

I have heard many good things about this brand from a range of user with different skin types. This loose powder foundation was the perfect shade for me! Which was surprising as most samples are never my shade. The powder offers a buildable light to medium coverage and contains SPF15 protection. This product was designed to conceal enlarged pores, even out your complexion with redness and pigmentation correction and adapt to your skin tone. Having oily skin I find in the hot Australian summers liquid foundation will slide right off no matter how well I prime before hand. So I’m excited to try this powder during summer.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Purpose Dry Oil 10ml RRP 26.99 for 50ml

This is one product I have already received twice and both times it was in a BellaBox. I love this wonderful oil and the sample sizes are perfect for travel and for my handbag. I use this oil on my cuticles, on my elbows and just anywhere else on my body that is feeling dry. If you haven't tried this product, I would highly recommend it.

C-LAB & CO Coffee & Coconut Scrub 100g RRP $9.95

This product is marketed as a 100% natural formula that is great for skin imperfections and stretchmarks. Just like most scrubs on the market, you rub in a circular motion on the area you want to target and leave on for a couple minutes while your body absorbs the natural oil ingredients. I currently have an ongoing love affair with Frank body scrub, but I am interested to see how this scrub compares.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette 9.6g RRP $25.95

I have been eyeing this palette up since it was first release but never purchased it so I was happy to see this in the box. Even though the quality isn't the best, the colours are beautiful. This is going straight into my eye shadow palette draw.

Overall, I was very impressed by the contents of The Parcel Spring 2016 box. I can’t wait to try the products over the coming weeks. For $25 this will be my go to subscription box I think and I can't wait to see what’s in the Summer 2016 box.

Have you tried a subscription box before? If so, what’s your favourite and why?
